Dear Friday Students,next week we meet on Thursday (the 22nd of September) because I'm off to Latvia on Friday. We start our meeting at 4 PM but it is OK to be late.

Here's what to do for homework:

You can answer these questions:
When was your summer holiday? Did you stay at home? Did you go somewhere? What was your holiday destination? How did you travel (by bus, plane, car or train) ? Did you take a lot of luggage? Was the weather good on your holiday? Did you feel relaxed, bored or maybe quite stressfull? Do you feel rested or tired now?

This year I had my summer holiday for two months - in July and August. I planned to stay at home because I wanted some quiet and lazy time, just to relax and to forget about everything. Everything went as planned, I slept a lot, I got up late, I cycled to my allotement nearly every day and I worked there in no hurry. I also spent a lot of time on the Internet, sometimes even all the night. It wasn't very good for me, I felt tired, irritated and sleepy all the day. I tried to spend less time on the Internet at night, I set a daily routine for me and I did exercises. It helped a little. In August I went to the Baltic coast for a weekend. I booked a holiday in Palanga with Pasvalys museum and I went there on a bus with a group. The trip wasn't very long but it was stuffy ([stafi] tvanku) on the bus because there wasn't an air conditionner and when some people opened a window others started to complain about the draft (skersvėjis). The hotel was cheap but not very clean and it wasn't very pleasant to use a shower there. The weather wasn't good for sunbathing, it was rainy and cloudy. The sea was agitated ([adžitetid] - nerami) and lifeguards put yellow flags on the beach, but the water was really warm and I bathed often, I walked on the beach. I also took a bus to the nearby city of Klapėda on Saturday and went to see a show with dolphins and sea lions at Klaipėda dolphinarium. Show tickets are quite expensive but the show is really impressive. I felt a little sorry for dolphins because they looked too intelligent for this show. I loved Klaipėda old town, it looked very beautiful and queit, not so crowded ([kraudid] - daug žmonių) like in Palanga. I found Palanga too busy. I wish to stay in Klaipėda for a holiday. I dropped ([dropt] - įmečiau) a coin in the old town fountain , so maybe I will go back there one day!

1. When they Meet, Britain's start talking about weather. (Brits arba British people - liet. britai)
2. The Britain's call home place where they live (anywhere in the word), event if they live in this place temporarily.
3. Britain's like black tea with milk.

Abaut Lithuanians
1. Some Lithuanians is always somebody unhappy.
2. Some Lithuanians thinking the dumplings (cepelinai) and other traditional dishes is the meal number one in the world.
3. Some Lithuanians save cents, but for saving spent hundred euros.

About Brits:
1. Brits are polite but they don't make new friends easily. It can take many years until ([antil] - kol) a Brit invites you to his/her home.
2. The pub is the meeting place for Brits - men and women, old and young.
3. Brits are divided in social groups. It is quite impossible to become a part of British elite if you were born into a family of workers.
About Lithuanians:
1. Lithuanians are very friendly and they can invite you home at the first meeting, but it doesn't mean that they really like you.
2. Lithuanians are top drinkers in the World.
3. Lithuanians are tidy people and they aren't afraid of hard work.

I never been in Britain. My opinion about Britain: 1. I hope Brits are nice to foreigners especially to Lithuanians. 2. Britain has interesting architecture. 3. Britain ish english is cool.

About Lithuanians: 1.Some Lithuanians don't like the summer of=in Lithuania. 2.Lithuanians are proud for =of amber of Baltic sea. 3.Lithuanian language is very difficult for some Lithuanians.

When I was to UK, my opinion about British people is ambiguous, bcs I don't understand British people, Why? Their eyes are always smiling, but it is a hoax. British adore dogs. They just love them. On the roads and streets they are always smiling and always let pedestrians pass. What about lithuanian people? I always do meet? only good people from Lithuania.I think? people are cheerful and helpful. My lithuanian parents always say to me, be good, and you will be good

What about me? I grew up here, in Pasvalys and I love this town, I like its quiet streets in evenings, green spaces and sticky clay soil in my kitchen garden. I live in the centre of Pasvalys, in a block of flats next to the special school and the book shop. I live in a two-room flat together with my mom and my cat. My mother is retired. She likes working in our alottement, spoiling our cat and she is interested in supernatural things. I don't have brothers and sisters, I don't have children and I'm not married. I like people , but I quite like being alone, I rarely feel lonely or bored. I guess I'm a little antisocial. I have one good friend from the times of my studies in Vilnius. My friend sometimes comes to visit me in her car together with her little son and takes me out for a trip. My friend loves travelling. I don't like to travel very much, but I like cycling, spending free time in my allotement, doing exercise. I go to the gym twice a week. I also love browsing online. I spend my evenings and nights on the Internet and sometimes I fall asleep on the keyboard of my computer. I'm lucky my computer still works!
I work at our town library as a librarian assistant. I post news on the library's Facebook and website, I advertise library events and activities, take photos, pin posters around the town and distribute leaflets. I help librarians to communicate with libraries abroad. But my favourite activity at work is our English meetings. I love learning languages because every language is a new world. I dream to learn Japanese one day.

This building is located near a=the church and a=the river Lėvuo. There are four peole in my familly and a dog. My mother, father, my sister and me, and a dog named Tukas. My parents have a lot of bees. My seaster is kinezi=a kinesitherapist. In my free time I like to dance, to sing, sometimes I run and play tennis. Also I study English at the library of Marius Katiliskis.
