Christmas is on December 25th. It’s my favourite time of year.
We decorate our Christmas tree with baubles, tinsel and lights. Then we put a star or fairy on top. We put
our presents under the tree. We send Christmas cards and sing Christmas carols at school or church.
Some people go carol singing and get some money.

At Christmas Lithuanians decorate Christmas Trees. They like going shopping. Lithuanians buy food and presents for their family. They send Christmas cards to their friends.
On Christmas Eve Lithuanians are at home. They have twelve dishes. These dishes are without milk and without meat. On Christmas Eve Lithuanians have fish and Christmas Eve biscuits. They don't drink alcohol. Some Lithuanians drink poppy seed milk.
On Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day a lot of Lithuanians like going to church. On Christmas Eve and on Christmas day people give and get presents in their families.
On Boxing day a lot of Lithuanians go visiting other people from their family, their friends, their neighbours.

Per Kalėdas Lietuviai puošia eglutes. Jiems patinka eiti apsipirkti. Lietuviai perka maistą ir dovanas savo šeimai. Jie siunčia Kalėdų atvirutes savo draugams.
Per Kūčias lietuviai yra namuose. Jie valgo 12 patiekalų. Tie patiekalai yra be pieno ir be mėsos. Per Kūčias lietuviai valgo žuvį ir kūčiukus. Jie negeria alkoholio. Kai kurie lietuviai geria aguonų pieną.
Per Kūčias ir per Kalėdas daug lietuvių mėgsta eiti į bažnyčią. Per Kūčias ir per Kalėdas žmonės duoda ir gauna dovanas savo šeimose.
Antrą Kalėdų dieną daug lietuvių vyksta lankyti kitų žmonių iš savo šeimos, savo draugus, savo kaimynus.

At Christmas Day we went to church. There was a lot of people.
At Christmas Day we got some Christmas cards from our children. They are adults and live abroad.
I love having free time on Boxing Day. I love being at home and watching TV or playing games with neighbours.
